INTRODUCTION TO DAY 12.
On Day 12 of our soul-fasting journey, we focus on the importance of our community and the role it plays in our lives. At the same time, we aim to let go of regret, an emotion that often holds us back from fully engaging with our present and future.
MEDITATION FOCUS FOR GRATITUDE: COMMUNITY
Today, let’s appreciate the community around us. This can include our neighbourhood, social groups, professional networks, or any collective that we feel a part of. Reflect on how these communities support us, provide a sense of belonging, and offer opportunities for connection and growth. Be thankful for the diverse interactions and experiences that our communities bring into our lives.
MEDITATION FOCUS FOR FASTING: REGRET
In parallel, let’s work on releasing regret. Regret can stem from past decisions or actions we wish we could change. However, dwelling on these thoughts prevents us from moving forward. Today, whenever feelings of regret arise, acknowledge them, learn from them, and then consciously shift your focus to the present moment and the potential it holds.
PRACTICE FOR THE DAY
Engage in an activity that strengthens your connection to your community. This could be volunteering, participating in a local event, or simply reaching out to a neighbour. As you do this, be mindful of any regrets that come to mind. Acknowledge them, consider what they have taught you, and then redirect your energy to making positive contributions in the present.
Day 12 is about nurturing our relationship with our community and learning to let go of regrets. It’s a day to appreciate the support and connection our communities offer, while also embracing the present and looking forward to the opportunities ahead.
