INTRODUCTION TO DAY 17.
As we venture into Day 17 of our soul-fasting journey, let’s direct our focus towards cherishing the peaceful moments in life and consciously avoiding hostility, which can disrupt our inner peace and harmony.
MEDITATION FOCUS FOR GRATITUDE: PEACEFUL MOMENTS.
Today, take time to appreciate the moments of peace that occur in your daily life. These can be as simple as a quiet morning, a serene walk, or a moment of reflection. Acknowledge how these tranquil moments provide a respite from the hustle and bustle, allowing you to recharge and find clarity. Be grateful for these slices of calm in your life, recognizing their importance in maintaining balance and well-being.
MEDITATION FOCUS FOR FASTING: HOSTILITY.
In parallel with savouring peaceful moments, let’s work on releasing any feelings of hostility. Hostility, whether towards others or situations, can create unnecessary stress and conflict. When you notice feelings of antagonism or aggression, pause, and seek to understand the root of these emotions. Choose to respond with patience and empathy, fostering a more peaceful and harmonious approach.
PRACTICE FOR THE DAY.
Actively seek out or create peaceful moments throughout your day. This might involve meditating, enjoying nature, or simply finding a quiet space to relax. Be conscious of any hostile thoughts or reactions that arise. Address them by understanding their source and choosing to respond with calmness and understanding.
Day 17 is about valuing the serenity in our lives and learning to approach situations without hostility. It’s a day to embrace tranquillity, both externally and internally, fostering a sense of peace that radiates into our interactions and outlook on life.
