A Proclamation of an End to Long-Standing Issues
This is a summary of the sermon by Pastor Joshua Selman on Day 17 of the Halleluyah Challenge.
Introduction
A proclamation to long-standing issues—it never comes to stay, it comes to pass. This is a prophetic word of comfort and deliverance for all those who have gone through tough seasons. This is what God told me: seasons of pain, seasons of rejection, seasons of pruning, and seasons of challenges.
The First Prophetic Word: It Came to Pass
Psalm 74:9 – “We see not our signs; there is no more prophet; nor is there among us any that knoweth how long.”
How long will this challenge last? I thought it would go by last year, and now we are in 2025, and the challenge seems to be staring me in the face. But God has come! Challenges do not last forever.
Psalm 30:5 – “For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”
Some of you are in your afternoon, yet you are still weeping. This is an anomaly! The night is enough for weeping. I’ve come to announce to you by the Spirit of the living God that your weeping comes to an end in the name of Jesus!
2 Corinthians 4:17-18 – “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
Your suffering has a time limit. The joblessness cannot be forever. The barrenness cannot be forever. The hopelessness cannot be forever!
1 Peter 5:10 – “But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.”
Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers them from ALL! (Psalm 34:17-19)
Let this be your prayer: “Father, in the name of Jesus, let this issue come to pass!”
The Second Prophetic Word: New Beginnings, All Things New
Revelation 21:4-5 – “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.”
The old order of things has passed away. Business strategies are changing. Ministries are taking new directions. God is giving superior ideas to his people.
Isaiah 62:1-4 – “For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth… And thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name… Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate.”
Your identity is changing. Where there was barrenness, there will be fruitfulness. Where there was failure, there will be success. God is giving you a new name!
The Third Prophetic Word: A Change of Garment
Your garment reveals your season, condition, and status.
Biblical Examples of Garment Change
- Joseph’s Garment Change (Genesis 41:14, 41-43)
- Joseph was brought out of the dungeon and changed his clothes before standing before Pharaoh.
- Pharaoh clothed him with fine linen and made him ride in a chariot as a sign of promotion.
- Mordecai’s Honor (Esther 6:6-9)
- When the king delighted to honor a man, the first instruction was to bring royal apparel.
- Joshua the High Priest (Zechariah 3:1-5)
- Joshua stood before the angel in filthy garments, and God commanded them to be removed, giving him new clothes—a change of spiritual status.
Prophetic Declaration: If shame has been your portion, God is changing your garment to one of honor! If failure has been your identity, God is clothing you in victory!
The Importance of Strategy in Prophecy
Receiving prophecy is not enough—you must also receive the strategy to bring it to fulfillment.
Joshua 1:8 – “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”
God gave Joshua the prophecy of victory, but he also gave him a strategy to meditate on the Word.
Different Strategies in the Bible:
- Jericho’s walls fell by marching around them seven times (Joshua 6:1-20).
- The Red Sea parted when Moses stretched his rod (Exodus 14:16).
- Peter walked on water when Jesus told him to come (Matthew 14:29).
In this season of newness, pray for discernment. The strategy God gave you in the past might not work in this season. Ask God for fresh revelation.
Final Prayer & Declaration
- Father, let my troubles pass away!
- Lord, I receive a new name and a new beginning!
- I declare a change of garment over my life—no more shame, no more reproach!
- Lord, give me divine strategies to walk in your promises!
Prophetic Words:
- Troubles may go in peace, but blessings will stay.
- If it is not from God, let it leave your life!
- But if it is a blessing, it will remain!
Ecclesiastes 3:11 – “He hath made every thing beautiful in his time.”
May this be your testimony in Jesus’ name, Amen!
